It was a gruelling drive all down the stretch. Jolly Roer swerved in the last fifty yards, losing the race thereby. He needs a stronger boy than Silvers in a finish. Donald B-iin was crowded to the rail at the finish. La Grange closed a big gap. Pinochles race was very creditable. Sir Rolla refused to run. Bell Punch made up much ground in the last quarter.
