The fine list of rich stakes offered by the California Jockey Club closes Monday, and owners who design taking part in the California winter campaign will be remiss in taking care of their own personal interests if they fail to mail their entries before the time of closing; Business of all kinds iB booming at San Francisco and the racetracks there are certain to ieap their due share of this abounding prosperity. In that genial climate winter is abont equivalent to early summer here, and the racing is carried on amid the most pleasant surroundings conceivable. With many valuable stakes and hundreds of fat purses to be awarded before the horses head this way next spring owners of fairly good horses have every possible inducement to make liberal entries in the events displayed in the advertising columns of Daily Racing Fobm.
