Winner B. f, by Strathmore Znhlan. Oil at the first break to a good start for all bnt Elidad. The first thre3 were driving and staggering. Uarda, considering it was her first start in a loog while, ran an extraordinarily game race. The filly got a flying start, showed all of her usual speed and Winkfleld rode her skilfully. She is strictly a front runuer and the boy got her in the lead as soon as possible. Through the stretch Uarda was extremely weary and jast did manage to sta.gger in. Donna Rita was at altogether too shoit a price. She ran her race and is gradnaljy improving. With an equal break Elidad wonld have been bard to beat, and, in fact, it wonld be eafa to say that he wonld have won. He was practically left, then made up a great space of ground, and at the end was f st catching the leaders. Prestar showed plenty of speed, but lacked the endurance. When he stopped he stopped badly. Rollins ran a fairly good race. The others are of no account. Overweights Buskin, 3 pounds; Pinar del Rio, 3. Uarda, place, 24 to 1 ; sho y, evens. Winner Br. f, by The Hero Big Ciss. Post 5 minutes. Start fair. Won driving to the limit; second, third and fourth also driving Emma M. improved suddenly. She showed a lot of speed. Conley took the shortest route with her and by swinging wide on the stretch turn invited Winkfleld with Aveastoke into a pocket. Avenstoke waB the b3st but with the bad ride he got it was hardly possible for him to win. In the last twenty yards Winkfleld had 10 pull the colt up to prevent him from cutting down Emma M. It was only Winkflelds "fat-headedness" that landed him in such a bad position through the stretch. Lady Curzon seemingly cannot handle weight. Ailanto showed a lot of speed but seemed to run out at the head of the stretch. Either the colt bolted or olso Hinkey showed bad judgment in taking him so wide. The race was between the first four all the way. Scratched 15463301ekma, 115; 15440 ODea, 105; 154S8 Dr. Cave, 108; 15348 Ritchie, 105; 15140Ocorno, 118. Emma M., place, 6 to 1; show, 3 to 1. Winner Ch, g, by Harry OFallon May Kennedy. Post 17 minutes. Start fair. Won eased up; eeccnd and third were driving. OConnell was boat and had an easy time of it. He gut away in front and galloped under a double poll all the way. He is in his hat lonn now and is perhaps the b3St horse at the track at three-quarters of a mile. Duty over raced herse f. 80 did Little iieggie, who was heavily backed to snow. The latter was erf m,ne too welt, and everything considered ran an extra good race. Loyal Prince dropped far out of it early ana then cms again at tho end" with a terrific rush. Goebel tired badly in the Btretch. May Beach showed Bpeed for about a half mile and then retired. She haB had a lot of it lately and is perhaps stale. The Ally never was much in the mud. Free Lady got shut off sharply at the start and this ruined whatever chance she had. Wiggins was prasti-cally left at the post. Overweights Free Lady, 3 pounds. OConnell, place, out; show, out. Duty, place, 6 to 1; show, 3 to 1. Little Reggie, show, 10 to 1. Wincer Ch. f, by Regalis Miss Birdie. . Post 8 minutes. Stare good. Won easily; sacond hand ridden; third and fourth were driving to the limit. Maud Wallace ran a tine race and it was stiictly in line with her form. Considering her recant good performance her price was entirely too long. Volandie3 got away all tanglea up and never really got in his. striae until the stretch was reached. Tnen he finished fast. He is a good horse in tne mud. Hugh Penny had spaed galore and as far as tie went did well. The lonto was too far for him and at the end he quit badly. Great Bends race will hardly do. He did not show his usual amount of speed ani labored all the way. Do not count this performance for him in form caloilations. John Bakjr is not himself. Ed Tipton is not a good mud hor.e. Wiener Ch. c, by Strathmore Balle of the Highlanas. Off at the flrBf break to a good start. Won eased up. There was plenty of action behind the winner. Isabey was the best of the field, and in the gjing his bad legs did not hurt him and he contequently won as he pleased. Rigby was easing Isabey up from the eighth post home. False Lead was the best of the others. He had the benefit of a good ride. Lillian Reod had a lot of bad luck early, but finished stoutly. HoBi came from a long nay back in the Btretch. Loiterer and Lady Osborne .showed speed. They both showed tlnir yellow streak, too, when the pinch came. Morea can do batter. Libbie had bad racing luck. i Scratched 15490 Judge Steadman, 105. Winner Br. g, by St. Goorge Levee. Off at tho first break to a good start. Won in a terrific drive; second and third wore driving also. GeorgeLe s win was a sensational one. He is a slow beginner and wai badly interfered witfl often. He was lucky, however, in getting through oa the inside on the far turn and from the three-eighths post home made up much ground. In the mud he is almost a stake horse over a distance of ground. Pat Garrett had no excuses and ran his race. The same can ba said of Astor, who lost a lot of ground on the stretch turn. Tobe Paine was a false f avorits and Hn-i8hed about where he belonged. Wilson and Tillie W. both ran bad race.. Scratched 15420 Sam Lazarus Esq., 105. Corrected weights George Lee, 107.
