Vititoe always had him in a good position and from the head of the stretch the youngster plnyod with his field. Morris Volmer had no excuses. He was simply not good enough to beat Felix Bard today. Mason was hard at work on him all through the stretch. The colt stood it gamely. Lovable was impedod through the stretch, but not enough to call for judicial action. Antonietta showed a fine turn of speed, but tired badly in the stretch. Mont Eagle did not run his race. Neither did Macie Maree. The latter can do better than this. Winner B. g, by Midlothian Misfortune. Post 4 minutes. Start good. Won driving to the limit; second, third and fourth the same. Catastrophe ran a cracking good race. He was the victim of a bad ride. Henson rode bim for all he was worth to get to the front down the backstretch and it is a wonder that he did not wear the gelding out. As it was Catastrophe was very tired at the finish and barely lasted long enough to win. Banish came with a rnsh from the three-eighths post home. Mark this horse. Be is good now. Deering appeared to ba winning about an eighth out, but hung at the end. Benneville was sharply cut off on the far turn. Bad riding was the cause of this. The horse had enough speel to outrun anything in tho race, but Vititoe fooled along with him and through cp.rele88ce3s got into the jam. Boney Boy ran a bad race. He showed speed for about three-quarters then stopped to a walk. Moroni wants a soft track to do his bsat. Ennomia is an in and outer. Winner Br. m., by Bramble Caledonia. Post 8 minutes. Start good. Won in a drive; the next five were also under keen pressure. Algareta is a grand filly. She was giving away a lot of weight, bnt thia did not cut any great figure with her. Through the stretch Algareta stood a terrific drive gamely and never for an instant did she flinch. On the other hand, Little Jack Horner swerved badly under punishment. However, he ran a good race. Hugh Penny seems to be in winning form. Mark Nettle for a maiden race. Dabride finished fast and strongly. Theory had no excuses. She was a false favorite. Aunt Bird did well. Goebel ran below his mark. Erwin is a colt of fair class and bsat this lot like breaking sticks. Wherever this colt goes from here watch him. He likes a route and can run on any kind of going. Lomond broke running, showed a fine turn of speed and hung on well through the stretch. The Monk could never get up. He was hard ridden all the way. The first three always had the race to themselves. He was badly pocketed and unable to get througn in the stretch, otherwise he could not have lost. Everything considered ha ran a cracking good race and is in his bast form. Chancery was lucky and cleverly handled. Mitchell had both Plantain and Walkenshaw hemmed in on the rail all throngn the stretch. Both of these should have beaten Chancery. Uarda is not in her bast form. Ein is seemingly not much at present. Neither is Bert Davis if this performance counts for him. It was quite daik when the race was run. Overweights Hamlet, 2 pounds.
