NOTES OF THIS TURF. Prince of Wales, the three-year-old His Highness Rosa H. gelding, was boosted after he won the fourth race at Newport Friday. W. Wallon-stein ran the gelding up from 00 to 00 and bought him at this price from the owners, J. and C. Davis. Rome Respass ran second with J. J. T., but he returned his share of the run-up money, 00, to the former owners of Prince of Wales. The gelding was their only possession, and it was hard luck for taem to Iobo him just as soon as be won a race. Jockey Bullman haB been engaged to ride for the stable of Green B. Morris during the seaBon of 1900. Mr. Morris has had erected a new stable ou his private training grounds adjacent to the Gravesend racecourse. In the new stable are eighteen jearliags, the property of Messrs. J. G. Follansbee and William ABtor Chanler. On account of ill health Hon. Edward Kear- the Saratoga Racing Association. He will be succeeded by Gottfried Walbaum, who formerly held tha position. Dispatchea from San Francisco say that tbe California Jockey Club has declined to receive further entries from the stable of Edward Corrigan. last Wednesday and on Thursday waa on the block at Tanforan doing a rushing business.
