Berman, breaking his leg. Lake Fonso regained her speed suddenly and won without an effort. Brightie S. did as well as could be expected, after exhausting herself at the post. Castle did fairly well. Match Box ran hi* race at the post. Suave ran a half at speed in a breakaway. Scratched— 18389 Avatar, 101 ; 18363 Louisville Belle, 97. Overweights— Lake Fonso, 5 pounds: Match Box. 31 ; Manilla, 5. The jockey on Fair Deceiver got off well but pulled up, thinking it was no start, losing some of his early advantage.
