These horses are fit for racing at once, and. better still, can win races. Serrano is the star of che offering and a race horse good enough for *ny mans money. Last year he closed his .ampaign with a record of seven consecutive victories over the best horses then running over the Chicago tracks, and is ready to hold his own now with the best at Washington Park. The list of horses to be sold will be found in the advertising department of this issue, and there is not one of the lot that should not bring a good round sum. In the advertising columns of this issue will be found the announcement of the sale of a lot of fine yearlings, bred by Dr. W. A. McAlester, of Columbia City, Mo., and sired by his imported stallions Siddartha, Joe Norwood and Wood Moss. No breeder in the west has turned out more winners than Dr. McAlester has in recent years, and the batch of highly-bred young .Hers to be sold in the 6tock yards pavilion Monday evening, July 9, call for close attention from the many turfmen now in Chicago.
