YEARLINGS TO HE SOLD. At the Union Stock Yards pavilion, next Monday and Tuesday evenings, Woodard and Shank-lin will conduct an important sale of thoroughbred yearlings. The crop of yearlings this year is short compared with former recent years and so nearly the entire crop lias already been sold in New York, that this sale represents about the only chance western owners will have to replenish their stables with a view to contending for the two-year-old prizes of 1901. The catalogue calls for the disposal of 118 youngsters. Among the consignments are the following: Mr. O. H. Chenault. Spendthrift Stud. 29 head, by Spendthrift. Hindoo. Hanover. Onondaga. Hermence. Falsetto. Eon, Charaxu-. Col. W. S. Barnes. Melbourne Stud. 10 head, the get of Prince of Monaco. Jim Gore, St. George and Forester. Gen. W. H. Jackson. Belle Meade Stud. 31 head, sons and daughter- of Iroquois. Loyalist. Longstreet. Fonso. Inspector B.. Clarendon. Dandie Dinmont. Fleetwood Stud. 12 head, the get of Aintree. St. Saviour and Portland. S. K. Hughe6 and Co.. live head, by Lazzarone. Deceiver and Julien. From studs of Messrs. Woodford Bros.. Catesby Woodford and Colonel Clay of Paris, a carload, including the get of Leonatus. Fonso. Hindoo. Sir Dixon. Teuton and Burlington. Major Thomas of Dixiana sends two by Dr. MacBride and two by Lougfiight. while the rest are made up of the get of Victory. Ben Strome. Major Richards. Owas. De Beauvoir and the consignment of Wagners from Mr. W. M. Fields place. There are four by this famous sire and as good individuals as ever left Kentucky.
