TO RACE AT HARLEM. Nominations to Harlems summer stake races continue to come in large numbers to the office of the Harlem Jockey Club. Secretary Nathan-son is out of the city, and when he returns this week, it will be to find more than sixty envelopes containing stake nominations upon his desk. The post marks on a majority of the papers bear eastern dates, which verifies the prediction that many of the big eastern horsemen purpose campaigning their horses at Harlem after the close of the Brighton Beach and Saratoga meetings. Nominations for the Harlem summer stakes wni close Monday, July 23. Before that date it is expected that some of the best horses in America will be named to start in one or more of the stake events which will be run every other day at Harlem. Although Harlems summer meeting is still three weeks distant a large number of owners has reserved stable room at the Proviso course.
