Long Isle ran a much improved race and stood the long, hard drive gamely. Harry McCouu was outpaced by the first two and weakened in the last ciuarter. Stamp showed a little early speed. Round Up was all tangled up at the start snd closed a big gap. Armor showed but little speed. Overweights— Stamp, 3 pounds : Round Up, 2 ; Mar, 2. Alsike, place, 7 to 10: show, 1 to 3. Blue Devil also ran well and fought it out stoutly all the way. MacLeod of Dare was best at weights. He bore in on the other two in the stretch and McCue had to pull him off several times, but for which he would have won. Regent, off badly, ran a fine race. Alzora showed speed early but quit in the stretch. The Tramp ran away the fall distance in one break and three furlongs in another. Scratched— 192723Minion, 105. Songster pulled up very lame. He is a bad cripple. Judge Tarvin tired in the last sixteenth. Ordeal was clearly outrun. Crowding on the far turn caused Harry Reed and Velvet to fall.
