Kid Hampton shot to the front early and ran away from his field, winning as he pleased Robert Morrison was away with a running start and ran a good race. Quibo ran to the mark under good handling. Handicapper assumed command just after the start and retained the lead to the finish without much trouble. Miss Soak had her speed today and ran a much improved race. Joe Gammage trailed the field to the stretch and when Beau Ideal and Zonne tired he came on and secured third place easily. Beau Ideals race was much out of line.
