youngster that should train on Hat Mitchell acted badly at the post as did John A Clarke theeo two being tho cause of the long delay Hat Mitchell is fast but a nonstayer In tho final furlong he quit badly and barely lasted long enough to finish second Brissac was under pressure for the last three furlongs Last Knight was bumped and jostled and met with much interference on tho far turn Ho was third twenty feet from the wire but hung at the end Count Perepoiut is a good looking colt and has worked well Amote ran far out in all breakaways from the post This ruined whatever chance he had was running easily Rounding into the stretch however the latter bolted to the extreme outsido losing about ten lengths and incidentally the race Baker did the best he could to keep Patroon in and from the eighth post homo was beating him over the head with the butt end of the whip In the meantime Preatar slipped up OH the rail and stole the race Ice finished gamely under a hard drive Vincennes quit in tho stretch and Tillie W gave it up on the far turn Martha Fox could not get out of her own way El Derim will do better in the mud mudPrestar Prestar show 2 to 1 Patroon show out Ice show 4 to 5 This race was a great improvement over his last Dyxona made a fine showing He got the worst of the break was sharply interfered with on the first turn and was in fact badly ridden throughout Ho is a grand looker and should turn the tables on Henry Burt before long Leo Newell had no mischances Odnor was hard ridden to keep up in the first threequarters bat when Jackson saw he was beaten in the stretch he wisely eased him up No upNo show betting O A CfC FOURTH RACE 4 12 Furlongs Purse 5100 75 to second 25 to third SttOUU 2yearolds Fillies Allowances Ind Horses A Wt St W K 3 StrFin Jockeye Barouche is a highclass filly displayed great gameness and was the best Crowhurst drew his whip on her shortly after passing the tnree furlongs post and from there home he was flogging for all ho was worth Barouche skinned the rail on the stretch saving as much ground as possible and from the furlong post home slowly but surely wore down Yanas long lead Yana and Barouche both acted badly at the post Tho former would run far out in all break ¬ aways while Barouche insisted on going the wrong way of tho track Hoodwink ran a good race but is no match for either of the other two fillies FIFTH and seemed hopelessly beaten when going down the backstretch but in the last three furlongs he took a notion to run and was going away at the finish Cora Havill II was ridden with bad judgment After getting away poorly Gormley used her entirely too much in trying to get to the front and when the pinch came tho filly was naturally done Chauncey Fisher was given a flno ride and ran the beat race of his career Lissome ran a much better race than the figures show under a bunglesome ride It was an inferior field fieldOverweights Overweights Golden Scepter 2 pounds Annowan show 2 to 5 Cora Havill II
