JOCKEY CLUB PROCEEDINGS A meeting of the stewards of the Jockey Club was held at the Gravesend track Saturday after ¬ noon Those present were August Belmont H K Knapp F R Hitchcock and Andrew Miller Thomas Hitchcock Jr was appointed steward to represent the Jockey Club at the Coney Island Jockey Clubs summer meeting at Sheepshead Bay Trainer John McCauley and Jockeys Robert King and John Johnson were reinstated to all privileges under the rules The following licenses were granted Trainers George Campbell P Clay R Carr J B Ferguson J A Kyle John Lyman J H Morris P Meany E A McGarry P C Murray G W Nixon and P D Williams WilliamsJockeys Jockeys Melvin Brien C Coombs J Coylie Kenneth Force Richard Holcomb and Joseph Scherrer ScherrerThe The Executive Committee of tho National Steeplechase and Hunt Association also held a meeting at which William C Whitney J H Alexandro J G Follansbeo and Dr J O Green were present The application of J E Beard for the reinstatement of the horse Char agrace was granted The applications for the reinstatement of the horses Salesman and Kas eala for steeplechases and hurdle races were referred to the stewards of the Jockey Club with a recommendation that they be granted 1ho Rhode Island Jockoy Club received per mission to change Us racing dates to Thurs ¬ day and Saturday September 5 and 7 respec ¬ tively
