Stella Perkins is a filly with a fine turn of speed, and with proper handling should have no trouble in taking the measure of better horses than those she beat today. She tiptoed her field throughout and was never in trouble. Our Jessie was outrun in the first part of the race and came fast through the stretch, but swerved slightly in the last sixteenth and interfered with Queen W.,but as the latter was beaten it cut no figure in the result. Matin Bell ran a disappointing race. Ursula Gurnett ran out on the stretch turn. Scratched 26359 Rosy Cross, 108; 27325 Lady Brockway, 108; 27512 Satchel, 107; 27994 Miss Hume, 100. Ermack broke well in motion, showed sufficient spaed to go to the front and raced Countess Clara into submission in the last five fnrlongs, then won with plenty in reserve. Eliza Dillon was always a contender and finished resolutely. Glove performed well. Countess Clara was raced into exhaustion in the flrBt five-eighths in chasing Ermack and quit at the end. AxareB was badly-interfered with on numerous occasions, this considered he ran a good race and should have no trouble in earning brackets.
