Always prominent, she drew to the front a furlong from the finish and was goir g away at the end. Rose of May displayed brilliant speid and stuck to her work well. She Buffered to eome extent by running in too close attendance on the fast pace set by Hatasoo. The latter, however, was under a ttrrific pull to the stretch and trying to place the Featherstone flly, probably cost er the race. Octoroon wa dosing vry fast at the end and is steadily improving. Royal Sue broke elowly aad was carried wide, but m de up a lot of ground, finishing like a whirlwind and evidently wants a route. The others are very moderate. Scratched-280373Emma A. Somerset was pre minent tbrouehout and going very easy to the Btretch and waB probably short. He had worked well. Welsh Girl put up a surprisingly improved race. Heno, off slowly, ran green and waa behring out on tho turn, but finished with a rare burst of spied through tbn laBt quarter and waa undoubtedly best. Leonora Loriag showed her usual speed and burg cn gmey at the end. Cameron broke with the rear ones and was repaatedly interfered with throughout the race. Excepting the winner, he was going much the strongest at the-end. Presumption ran impressively. Arsenal was unable to concede the weight and is probably better on a soft truck. Dualist ran a grand race, was right there throughout and finished in van gam1 fashion, but was lucky to beat Belle of Lexington, which eaeily retained the lead until in the last stride whire her jockey rode badly. She 1b in the bpst fom of her career and ftajs unusually well. Chuctanunda ran as if short and is a big doer and neeaB a li t of racing to fit him. Alird Scheck closed with a tremendous rueb in the stretch after being away oat of the race. He lucks early spaed to a marked degree and will beat good ones when placed right over a longer distance.
