Crinkle off with a runing start, displayed much speed, finished strongly and waB never headed. Oliver Mc was all entangled at the start, but finished fast and resolutely in the last eighth. With any kind of an equal break he could not have lost. Whisper Low ran well, but was tiring at the end. Canova ran a fair race considering his dickey legs. He was wabbling in the closing strides. Pupil came fast in the last one hundred yards and altogether ran in improved form. Emma C. L. made np ground in the final quarter. Sam Lazarus Esq. runs best in the mud. He improved wonderfully over his last previous race. Wyeth came strongly in the last eighth, but could not quite get np. Janbert tired rapidly in the last hundred yards and it was only Caywoods clever riding that got him as close up as he was at the finish. Harry New ran a fairly good race throughout. Lucien Appleby was right there at the finish and is about ready to win. Miracle II. had enough when a fnrlong out. Scratched 27793 Herodiade, 103. After the quarter had been run Bynia assumed command and remained there to the end, but Cobnrn had to hustle her up in the closing strides to stall off False Leads determined bid. The latter ran a good race and was much the best of the others. Dagmar just lasted long enough to beat Fox Bard on the post. The latter ran in much improved form and is ready to win when placed right. Ida V. ran far below expectations. ZacatOBO showed well for seven furlongs and then fell away beaten.
