Mc-Meekin trailed leisurely to the stretch and when called on cantered, into the lead. He is in great form and is a high-class horse. MorningBide lost ground at the start and was pressed apparently to get up, which, however, ahe did when straightened in the stretch. There she went to the front without much effort and -won hard held. She far outclassed the field and is in rare form. Lady of the Valley showed a fine burst of speed and stuck to her work gamely and is steadily improving. Templeton ran in vastly improved form at the distance, due to waiting tactics. Candle failed at the end of six lurlongB. Badie S. got off very badly and had no chance with her jockey. Watch her carefully. Scratched 287403princesa Pepper, 108. Time, 1 :11. Winner Ch. c, by Hanover Lady Agnes. Went to post at 3:00. At post 4 minutes. Start good. Won easily; second the same. King Hanover is greatly improved and was lucky and cleverly ridden. Whiskey King broke in the .rear and was handicapped by his small jockey, who was unable to do him justice. He was probably best, as he was running on strongly at the end and jumping on the winners heels. Chilton -was carried along so fast that he quit in the last furlong. At that he is a wonderfully improved olt on this track. Tribes Hill and City Bank finished very strongly. Flywheel was hustled off his stride and evidently is best in mud always. Otis is in poor form. Scratched 25578 Columbian, 90. The entry, show, evens. Whiskey King, show, 7 to 10. Chilton, show, S to 5. Zinziber, after trailing for the first two miles, commenced to mow down the field one by one and -when finally called on when a half from the finish he ran past the leaders as if they were anchored winning in a canter, and whb much the best. Ho is a great horse at the game. Mystic Shriner put up a fast and g8me race and iB a stayer. Fulminate was a contender throughout. Wood Pigeon lost ground from striking the water jump. Cock Robin and Diver set a terrific pace and both jumped finely. Cock Robin lasted throe miles and will win at a short course. Sir Hubert and Charawind ran poorly throughout. Tact was badly crossed when a furlong out and came very fast right at the end. Gibson Light was messed about and weakly handled but was going fast at the finish and caught the tiring Eddie Bnsch in the last stride. Hockey showed speed but quit.
