Montoya showed early speed, but tired badly in the stretch run and dislikes muddy going. Commissioner Forster waB badly cut off on tho far turn and might possibly have won but for this costly interference. Articulatas races over a.distance have somewhat dulled his speed but he finished very strongly at that. Sir Dongal ran his best race. Barbara Frietchio did not liko tho going.
