Boysterer was second because Doggett outrode Rutter in the last furlong, Flaccns seemed dangerous on the last turn, but quit when it seemed that he , would romp in. He was ruehed up next to the rail in tbe firet quarter and the 1 effort seemingly told on him. The company was too warm for Colonel Bill. Sister Juliet can do better and by no means ran her race . Shorebam got. away poorly and was closing up at tbe end, capturing third place in the last Btridei Alpaca showd her ueual speed but could not last. Bastile ran well and will do in poorer company. Kalif would have been I closer up with a good ride, Ventoro was on the board as a starter bnt was withdrawn by order r of tbe stewards, ho acting as if crazy in the paddock. Alfred Vargrave wae outrun early as usual but made up ground on the stretch turn and finished with a rush. He waa all out at the end and Bedfern whipped him to the finish. Carbuncle was poorly ridden. Cochran made a mistake in racing with Handicapper and carried the field wide on the stretch turn but it did him no good his mount being all "ut in the last fnrlong when Alfred Vargrave closed up on him.
