Tho roport sent out frotn San Krancisco recently that Henry Sponcar, the jockey, was suffering with incipient consumption, is incorrect. Spencer refused to accept any mounts during the wet spall, which probably gava rise to the report of his illness. At New Orleans yesterday jockey Nutt was suspended indefinitely because of an unsatisfactory rido on Frank Ireland,. and Gormley was fined 5 for beating Precursor over the head in theecond race. GaTy Hermann racently worked a milo at Louisville, Ky., in -1:45. Capt. 8. 8 Brown, of Pittsburg, his ownor, thinks no will run back to his two-year-old form next yoar. L.
