"WASHINGTON PARK STAKES. Secretary Howard has announced Washington Perks array of stakes for 102. It is in all respects identical with that of 1901 and, aB was the caco this year, the date for closing entries is January 15. A program that resulted in such splendid and thrilling racing as made the Washington Park meeting of this year truly remarkable may well bear repetition. It will be heartily indorsed by the turfmen of the country at large, and the American Derby of next year will be sure to exceed that of this year in respect to the number of high class young horses entered. There are great possibilities in such names as Endurance by Bight, Yankee, Heno, Goldsmith. Cruzadoe, Old England, San Nicholas, Abe Frank, Ed Austin, McChesney and Cunard, and it iB quite within the range of Gtrong probability that every one of these stars will be nominated.
