LOCAL TURF GOSSIP. Jockey Dominick, who rode Captain Arnold, the winner of the Edgewater Stake, was fined 50 and suspended for the remainder of the meeting by the starter. Dominick refused to break on two occasions, and spoiled what apparently would have been perfect starts. Jockey Coburn was fined 5 in the same race by the starter for continually breaking out in front with Our Bessie. Ed Trotter arrived from St. Louis yesterday. His horses, which have been racing on the Mound City tracks, will be broughtto Harlem Thursday. In the lot are St. Cuthbert. Golden Age, Peace and others. By having Hindi returned winner it marked the two hundredth winner that Henry McDaniel has trained while in the employment of G. C. Bennett. Mr. McDaniel has handled Mr. Bennetts horses a little over two years. James Evans arrived at Hawthorne yesterday from Latonia with several horses. Tichenor and Co. have bought from Turney Bros, the useful horse Waswift. Baker and Gentry shipped their horses yesterday to Lexington, Ky.
