Circus Girl was off running and showed the most speed, but had to be ridden to the limit to stall off the three that finished close behind her. Concertina finished fast and was pressing her hard in the run home. Irresistiblo finished strongly. Lathrop, off none too well, closed a big gap and finished strongly. Mint Bed was thrown on the fence just below the eighth post and but for the mishap would have won. Almanzo quit early in the action. Gormley sent her along at top speed in the first part of the race and she came away with all ease in the last quarter. Jet came very fast in the stretch and got second place in the last few strides. Dubious, as usual, began slowly t and after the others had raced oachothor into exhaustion came with a burst of speed and fought it out with Ducassa in the last sixteenth, getting up in the last few strides. Ducassa was doing his best, but Kelly outrode Alley when it came to a drive. Advocator quit in the stretch. Wire In was sharply cut off after passing the half mile ground and was compelled to pull up. Baffled showed but little of her recent speed. Scratched 33137 Uledi, 106. The latter ran well but tired in the final sixteenth. Chopin was in a pocket on the backstretch, but came strongly when clear and would have been second in another stride. The latter came very fast in stretch and was catching Annie Lauretta at every stride. Fessy F. ran her race. Alea finished strongly. The last four were practically left at the post.
