Won driving; second easily, Alsono got away badly, had a rough passage, met repeated interferences in the stretch, finished with a tremendous rush and was best, but caught Boutonniere napping. The latter displayed brilliant and enduring speed and is very promising. Lady Albercraft held on expectedly well in the hard final drive after being-reserved in the first pnrt of the race. Dazzling moved up very fast ontho far turn, raced on" the extreme outside, finished strongly and must be above the average. Wax Candle ran a speedy and game race. High Chancellor was evidently Bhort, looks high, is in grand shape and will improve The rear ones at the start had but scant chance. Winner B. g, by Bayon dOr Astoria trained by A. Shields. Went to post at 2:50. At post 4 minutes. Start good. Won in a canter; second driving. Zoroaster gave a glimpse of his high-class three-year-old form, forced tho pace unextended throughout and was much the best. He may beat the best, especially in soft going. Conundrums forte heretofore has been a muddy track. He was an easy second and ran well in hand for the first six furlongs, but when called on was outclassed by the winner. Mosketo trailed and caught Hans Wagner tiring rapidly at the end and finished strongly. The latter went a good six furlongs. Musidora was speedy for the first half and was badly ridden. Winner Ch. c, by Henry of Navarre Yseult trained by J. E. Madden. Went to post at 3:15. At post 5 minutes. Start straggling. Won driving; second easily. Yardarm broke well for a slow beginner and, with clear sailing, drew clear of the field and went after the fiyimr Parisienne and finally wore her long lead down in the last sixteenth, winning going away strongly The latter showed phenomenal speed, negotiating the fastest pace of the season for three furlongs and tired at the end. She was much the best and. is a speed wonder. Flying Jib, another good one, got a way badly and made up ground, finishing strongly. Leader was big and slow about moving and will improve Yardarm. show, ovens. Entry, show, 1 to 3. Flying Jib, show, 3 to 5. SJ I II FO?T, T;1 1-1 Miles. 3-year-olds. Fillies. Allowances. Par Excellence trailed under a judicious ride and vigorously ridden, closed .up strongly in the last quarter and just Kot up in the last stride. Lux Casta was easily bast, but made her move too early in the game She war best at all stages and practically indulged tho pacemakers with the lead, in spite of the killing earlv pace and lost through a weak finish. Josepha was a close contender and when badly interfered with the stretch turn, wont around the field and was a willing horse in the final drive, but palpably not kevad on up. Gunfire and Hatasoo wont out together at a terrific pace and both retired at the end of six furlongs. Gunfire was probably short, but could never have lived at the pace. The Musketeer is in rare form, outclassed the field and led unextended from start to, finish, at no time seriously menaced by Belvino. The latter followed him closely and held on unexpectedly well in a hard final drive. Sadducee was really second best and might have made an interesting contest but for costly interference on the stretch turn. Bellario was outrun early and closing up strongly at the end.
