Dan McKonna showed the most speed and stalled off Daday Bendors determined bid in the last fifty yards with ease. The lattor finished stoutly but was not quite good enough. Egg Nogg came with a belated rush at the end after making up much ground in the last quarter. Kite Star ran a dull race and can do much better. Delia Ostrand tired fast in the last sixteenth. Theory, as usual, showed faiut-hartedness when the piuch came. Carl Kahler would probably have won with a better ride. Hicks was of little help to him in tho closing sixteenth. Sortie was pocketed badly in the last eighth and got through too late. He might have won also. Anchor fenced without a mistake and was coming strongly at the end. Captain Conover ran a fair raco and will bsar watching. The latter ran the best race he has shown here and displayed much gameness. Orontas, as usual, came fast in tho last quarter. Jiniinez raced well for only six furlongs and then foil awav badly beaten. Ho appears to be nowhere near himself this season. Harry New was a keen contender for seven and a half furlongs. Captain Gainns rau nowhero near to his bst form. Ho hung badly a furlong ut. The raco should do him much good and ho should beat this kind tho noxt time out. Lou Woods howod early speed.
