Lady Jocelyn stood a long stretch drive with much gameness and wore down,Fitzbrillar in the last hundred yards. The latter showed much speed, but tired just enough in the closing strides to be beaton. He, too, showed gameness under punishment. Dan McKenna tired fast in the last eighth. Golden Rule showed much speed throughout and won pretty much as his rider pleased. Rag Tag came with a rush at the end and was much the best of the others. He showed much improvement and is worthy of notice from now on. Lass of Laneden ran her best race and was tiring fast at the end. Always well up, she closed up fast when Marta Santa and Money Muss tired in the last eighth, but had to be driven out to stall off Wainamoinens rush at the end. The latter finished strongly and would have won in a few more strides. Topsoil made up much ground in the last quarter and was running fast at the end. Marta Santa tired fast in the last eighth. Money Muss showed much speed, ran to his best form and was responsible for Marta Santas defeat. The others were never serious contenders. Scratched 34134Huachuca, 108: 340B1 Lendin, 81. He began slowly, but gradually improved his position throughout and finished strongly down the last eighth next to the inside rail, outstaying Jim Clark in the closing strides. The latter appeared the winner when a furlong out, but was not quite good enough to withstand Havilands strong bid at the end. Rose Tree finished strongly. Harry New tired fast in the last eighth. Louisville was thoroughly beaten when turning for home. Alard ran a dull race and was nevera serious contender. Duelist ran a good race for six furlongs, as did also A. D. Gibson. Jiminez showed improvement and is gradually rounding to his best form. Albert Enright ran a good race, but was tiring fast at the end. Bon Mot was badly cut out of position at the start and had very little chance thereafter. He can do much better. He pulled up a little lame after the race. Piedericn showed much improvement and is deserving of attention from now on. Fairbury showed early speed, but was out of place.
