Floyd K. showed improvement and will do presently. Will Shelly refused to break and ran a bad race. Watson pulled Welcome Light up at the start and was suspended indefinitely. Assessment got off badly and was taken the long way, but ho is very good just now, made up ground and finished strongly. Lou Hazel was cut off sharply at the first turn and ran a winning race. Tulare showed marvelous and sudden improvement, ran a good race under a weak ride and was possibly best. Delsarte is a sulker. Flop was prominent to the stretch; where he quit badly. Fugurtha and Ermack showed speed but tired and quit badly in the stretch run. Assessment, show, 7 to 10. Lou Hazel, show, evens. Tulare, show, 6 to 1. Blueblazo was cnt off at the stretch turn and compelled to poll up, but fi ished fast and was probably best. Laura G. G. showed much speed, but tired in the find furlong. Wiedemann ran a pood race. Guide Rock wants a longer distance. He is about ready to win. Fred Hessig quit badly. Ran-dazzo and Hazol Hughlott ran bad races, much below their true form and the same applies to Branch. Bengal was off badly, but soon ran into a good position and challenged Van Hoorebeke in the stretch and won going away. Van Hoorebeke was off flying, showed a fine flight of speed, did his best and had no mishaps. Hucena began slowly, was badly ridden, but finished well and should have been closer up. Josie F. began slowly, but closed up ground when called upon, went past Menace on the stretch turn and won at her leisure. Zazel made up a huge gap in the last qnarter, finished strongly and was probably best. Menace refused to run after Josie F.. challenged and passed her. She showed early speed and had no mishaps. The Boer was best and moved to the front after Santa Ventura and Sweet Dream had raced each other to exhaustion in making the pace. Louis Wagner had his speed well saved and used it in the stretch to advantage. Optimo closed up well in the stretch under a poor ride. Verify finished fast. Santa Ventura tired. Sweet Dream was too much used in the early pacemaking. She runs best from behind. Sir Christopher - was very sore when going to the post. Scratched-341213Tom Collins, 108 ; 34125SMorris Volmer, 108.
