River Pirate practically forced the pace from the start and drew clear cantering on the level stretch was under restraint at the end and much the best. Sevoy, badly ridden, closed up with a rush and ran a cracking good race. Sparklo Esher, away badly and unlucky as usual, came from a long way back in the last furlong. Belle of Lexington was rushed into prominence in the first half from a poor start and tired in the final drive. Schoharie showed good early speed. Ondurdis ran a bad race. Guess Work was a contender when a furlong out. Navasota showed speed but is evidently a nonstayer. Rossignol was reserved for five furlongs, then made good with a brilliaut stretch run and was best and is genuinoly improved on this track. Lady Sterling, away poorly and pocketed to the stretch when with clear sailing, finished fast. Huntressa, driven into an early lead from a bad start, tired under the weight at the end and was easily second best. Musidora quit after going a good six furlongs. Ringdove was whipped into the lead early, which he retained after a terrific drive through the last furlong. An overanxious jockoy nearly beat him, but he was much tho beet at tho weights and is a good, stayer. Nevermore, suddenly improved, waited on the pacemaker and drew up on even terms when a furlong out, held on unexpectedly well and is much better in mud. Christine A. finished with a rush after closing a gap from a bad start. Forward failed to stay, but suffered from a weak finish. Scratched 35616 Scoffer, 105. Ringdovo, show, 2t to 1. Rock water trailed the slow early pace, raced around the field on both turns, finished very game and true and was best. Oom Pauls was a splendid effort and he sustained his superior speed unexpectedly well. Cameron, under a pull for the first half, failed to come on in the Inst quarter and was evidently short. He appears to bo in first-class shape. Par Excellence went well throughout. Slipthrift favors soft going, sulked after forcing the pace to the stretch and finished with his mouth wide open.
