Corinne Unland showed sudden improvement and ran to her best form. She ran Haydon into early submission and then came away without much of an effort. Glenrice, all entangled at the start, made up ground fast in the last quarter and fini hed strongly. Theory also finished stoutly. Rankin came with a rush it the end and would have been third in a few more strides. Whiten showed early speed, but ran to the ovtside rail after the first quarter bad been run. Jack Doyle was not called on until entering the last quarter whore he moved up on even terms with Gawaine and outstayed him in ihe last sixteenth struggle. The latter showed much speed and stood a long stretch drive with gams-oss, but Buchanan outrode Robbins in the closing strides, Sarilla had, enough when a furlong out. He would have won in another stride or two. Vulcain tired perceptibly when the pinch came. He ran in improvod form at that. Mac Gyle tired fast in the last quarter.
