Start fair. Won easily ; second the same. Dave Sommers caught Waninta tiring in the stretch run and came away without much effort in the last sixteenth. Waninta outbroke the others and showed a lot of early speed, but quit when the pinch came. Floret was staggering at the end and swerved across the track in the last sixteenth. Ecome ran the best race he has shown at the meeting, but was tiring in the last furloag. Pay the Fiddler was scant of speed. Blue Ridge Dulled up when Lady Meddlesome fell. The latter was crowded against the inside rail at the turn into the back-stretch and went down, injuring her rider seriously. Mint Bed saved ground at the turn into the homestretch and was driving hard at the end to stall off Springwells. Dalys ride on the latter was a bad one. He kept his mount under restraint to the far turn and then took the overland route, came with a rush at the end and would have been third in another stride. Scratched 36015 Kohnwreath, 90. Antagonist finished etrongly, outgamed Extol when it came to a drive and got up in the last stride. Extol showed early speed, but was used up in setting the pace.
