Lady Sterling, secured a lucky start, was always prominent and drew to the front when a furlong out apparently an easy winner, but was driving hard at the end to stall of Potente. The latter got away poorly and closed a tremendous gap and was best. Demurrer forced the pace throughout and. held on unexpectedly well. Brunswick, favored by soft going, made up ground throughout and finished strongly. Ascension, outrun early, cltS8d up fist at the end. Clorita was driving early to koep up and was probably handicapped by the going. The Huguenot looks well and has worked fast, was a contender for six furlongs and will beat this kind from now on. Belles Commoner is in great form and outclassed the field, led throughout and came away fast right at the end from Harry New after a terrific drive of almost the entire stretch. The latter was always tho chiaf contender and followed the winner closely from the start, but could never quite get up. Huntressa finished stoutly and outstayed Articulate for third money. The latter did his best. Hermencia finished with a rnh and would have been third in a few mora strides.. Par Excellence has lost her best form. Watkins Overton closed a big gap from a bad start and was probably best Ponca tired in the last furlong. Muzio, nearly left, made up fifteen lengths in th last half. Niaxus is improving. Andy Williams put up a hard but unavailing struggle to get up. He was ontrun in the first half and ran a dull race. Dr. Riddle quit after an unexpected good showing for six furlongs. First Chord practically forced the pace from the start and fought out the finish very gamely. Sheriff Boll ran well, but was tiring fight at the end. Bernays broke slowly, was forced wide on the stretch turn, made up ten lengths in the last quarter and was running past everything but the winner and was probably best. Ink ran a good race. Coruscato failed to stay. Sparkle Esher was always outrun and iB stale. Miladi Love was a contender for six furlongs, then tired in the soft going. The latter, away in front and skillfully handled throughout, was not quite good enough. Solomon, under Martins vigorous finish, gained third place from the badly ridden and unlucky Moroton in the last twenty yards. Miranda was interfered with on the first turn and badly messed about and can do better. Moon Daisy was shuffled back and ont of it on the first turn. Overweights Leslie Bruce, 3 pounds.
