Won easily ; second the same. Emshee was easily the best and won with much in hand. He forced the pace in the first part of the race under restraint and drew away at will in the stretch. Valley Forgo broke running, but was outrun early, then closad up again in the stretch and should have beon closer to the winner. Cornwall made up a lot of ground in the last quarter under a hustling ride. Lady Radnor, poorly handled throughout, would have been a contender with a good ride. Anaks performance was a good one. From a poor start he made up ground, only to weaken in the final drivevand is worth remembering. Carroll D. was plainly short. Athlana squeezed through next to the rail in the stretch and was going away at the end under a hard ride. Navasota, a speedy filly, tired badly at the end and only secured second place through a strong finish. Shrine stood a long stretch drive tamely and should improve. Lady Sarah got off badly and would have won with an even start and good handling. She improves with each race and is a good looking, big filly. Miladi Love weakened in the final drive. It was a poor race fur Gloriosa. Rene will do better with capable handling. Pride of Galore seemingly lacked her usual speed. Scratched Channel, 105. Athlana, show, 3 to 1. Navasota, show, 6 to 5. Off none too well he went through the field next to the rail and easily assumed the lead at the stretch turn. The barrier did not go up and was carried by Flara for nearly a quarter of a mile. Half the boys were pulling up, not thinking it was a start. Tenagra and Atheola were away running. The last three were left standing. They went on, but pulled up in the first quarter. Pittacus ran in a good position to the stretch, closed up with a rush and bumped Mount Hope in the last sixteenth as the latter bore in, then swerved over to. the rail. In the run home he and Daddy Bender kept interfering with each other. The latter was on the outside when a fnrlong from home and repeatedly swerved in the run to the finish. He is a good looking youngster and is steadily improving. It was a poor ride on Clocha dOr. Mount Hope and Bassanio were used up in making the pace. The former was bearing in nearly all the way. He showed plenty of speed, but tired badly when a sixteenth from home. When he faltered Moranda headed him. It was then a bumping match to the finish and Redfern had trouble in keeping Blackstock straight. Moranda improves with each race. She tired when she got up, but fought out the finish stoutly, although OConnor broke his stirrups in the last fifty yards. She should have won. Allie Virgie closed a big gap in the stretch run. Lady Toazls wont -weH and will probably win in the same company. The Dancer is only a sprinter. Solomon can do Scratched Burnish, 110; 29391 Ski Runner, 107. Overweights Moranda, 1 pound. Lady Sterling was much the best, ran under restraint to the stretch and easily came away when called on. Barbara Frietchie made up a lot of ground and closed up strongly at the end under a drive. Grail began slowly, was on the outside of the field all the way and finished gamely. Her race was a good one and she will win when properly placed.
