Waldo, who was suspended by Judge HamttEbn for his ride 6n""FiTsT"Lead7was "yesterday restored to favor, it being conclusive from the judges investigation that the rider was not guilty of any wrong. S. S. Bender purchased yesterday from T. P. Hayes the two-yoar-old Oronte for the reported price of 00. Jockey Battiste rode in great form yesterday, landing three winners, two seconds and one third. E. J, Arnold and Co.s horses will be sent to California and New Orleans Monday night. The horses to b8 campaigned by the firm this winter will be handled by two trainers. The California material is to be in charge of T. Kiley, the regular trainer for the stable, and will consist of Peaceful, Bessie McCarthy, Mary McCafferty, Ethylene, Fort Wayne, Fitzbrillar, Beana, Felix Bard, Will Shelly and Searcher. P. J. Tomlinson will act as agent and have the above stable under his direct management. Those to be sent to New Orleans are Graden, Terra Incognita, John Grigsby, Macon, Ben Lear, Light Hunt, Vineland, Brown Vail, Maggie Clopton, Hengist and Owensboro. These will be trained by Charles Ross, who, until recently, was in the employment of V. Hughes. Negotiations are now pending between Mr. Arnold and a well known local racing official to act as manager for the stable at the Crescent City. In addition to racing the above horses at New Orleans Mr. Arnold will have on one or more books there. The same will be presided over by one of the best bookmakers in the western country. Mr. Arnold himself will not go to either of the tracks, but will devote his time to Hot Springs, where he will open a turf exchange, which will be operated by him during the winter.
