St. Bluff was at home in the going, easily led throughout and won with much in reserve. Secundus finished fast and wore Tiburon down in the stretch run. Locust Blossom came with a rush and nosed out Tiburon in the last stride. The latter was used np closing a gap ih the run down the backstretch and was driving all of the last quarter and Locust Blossom outgamed him when the pinch cme. OConnor on Longfio went to sleep "t the post and was practically left. He closed a big gap and might have been a contender had he got off. Antagonist got away all tangled up and closed a big gap, came aronnd the leaders at the stretch turn and finished strongly. Orpheum made np ground in the stretch, caught the others tiring in the last sixteenth and outgamed Tom Hall when it came to a drive. Tom Hall was off well in motion and showed early speed, but tired in the stretch run. The same applies to Dr. Cam Dr. Hagyard evidently did not like the going. Immortelle came through on the inside at the stretch turn, but quit when it cam1 to a drive. . Nic Longworth tired when the pinch 1 came. Require was off all tangled up and was as good as left. The race was run in a fog and it was too dark to distinguish colors.
