Jim Gore II. beat the barrier, but was outrun by Montoya to tho stretch where he ran to the front with ease and was best. Montoya displayed superior speed in the going, held on well at the end and is an improved colt. 8t. Phillipina broke slowly and was a safe thifd thoroughout. but was tiring in the stretch and was evidently short. She is a grand looker and can beat this kind. Rasp closed n gap and finished strongly. St. Rica tired after forcing the pace to the stretch and was short. King Dellis was closing up strongly at. the end. Mocorito ran in the deep going throughout and should improve. Goldone was well in hand for six furlongs, but failed to come on in the last quarter and was ehort. Filibuster tired from following the winners pace. July Gip ran a fair race. Edinborough tired in the stretch after a hard, early effort to overtake the winner. Our Pride, badly ; messed about, went well and was probably second best. All Green looks well and will probably be a good horse this season, outclasses this kind when fit, will improve and ran sound. Leader, evidently short and a grand looker, showed superior speed and will improve into a good one. Deutschland tired in tho last quarter and was short. Jockey Club went well. Durazzo, show, 1 to 3.
