Winner B. c, by Faverdale Eccola trained by M. S. Skiles. Went to post at 2:00. At post 5 minutes. Start poor. Won driving; second the same. Echo Dale was very fit and well handled. Off well in motion, he forced the pace nearly all the way, but the effort idd cr him and ha was tiring at the end, only lasting tbrongh Milburn outfinishing Woleh. Carroll D ran well and would have won but for being in deep going near the rail in the stretch. Guess Work is worth remembering with a good rider up. His race was an excellent one. Frank Kenney tired in the final drive. Mosketo was crowded out at the start, but finished strongly and was gaining at the end. Andrattus began slowly. Gwynne will do when properly placed and with bottor handling. Alpaca was interfered with right after the start. The last half dozen at the start had not much chance. Winner B. f, by Florist Effie C. trained by H. T. Griffin. Went to post at 2:35. At post 5 minutes. Start good. Won easily; second handily. Lulu Marr has developed into a fair sort of a filly, moved up fast on the turn and drew away in the stretch under a hard drive. Mount Hope received a lucky start and ran a good race. Mrs. Frank Foster is speedy, travels farther with each race and should improve. Sweet Marjorie would have been a keen contender with a good start and closed a tremendous gap. Profitables performance was a good one. Guess made up a lot of ground from a poor start. Daddy Bender was repeatedly interfered with. Turnpike was sharply cut off right after the start and was not persevered with. Flying Jib was outrun in the first part of the race, but he came around the field on the stretch turn and closed up fast in the final furlong, going away at the end. He is a strong stretch runner and a long route seems to be his forte. Watkins Overton ran a good race, worked his way through, the field and got through next to the rail and is a good stretch runner. He was in the deep going and outgamed Sun Gold in a hard drive. The latter, a good looking, big colt, was high in fleBh and showed a good burst of speed, fought out the finish stoutly and will win in the same company. Cranesville was poorly handled throughout. Earl of Warwick could not last the distance. Witfull was never dangerous. Setauket, in light, had clear sailing all the way and won in a romp. Desouza had him in the middle of the track all the way. Caithness ran under restraint to the Btretch and closed up fast at the end, Barbara Frietchie weakened toward the end under a drive. Lord Pepper is only a sprinter. Lady Radnor showed improvement and was a sharp contender for seven furlongs. Trump, made too much use of in the first half, tired. He was in deep going next to the rail all the way. Paul Creytoa showed the most speed, forced the pace all the way and was easily the best at the weights. Prancer is consistent. His race was a good one and he was under a drive nearly all the way. Attila, in close quarters to the stretch, could not get through in time, but finished with a rush and should have been second. Lady Teazle found the route too far. White Owl had no mishaps. Satire ran about theJbest race of his career, showed plenty of speed and hung on gamely when caught and outlasted Circus. The latter rounded to with a rush, was in light and would probably have won but for being interfered with by Satire in the last hundred yards. Cogswell had a rough journey, closed up fast at the end under the whip and would have won in another fifty yards. He is in good form at present. Rice did not make a move on G. Whittier until the stretch was reached and went from restraint to a drive, asthe weight told on him. Carbuncle ran in the middle of the track all the way and swerved several times in the run through the stretch. Young Henry was anchored by the weight and was eased up at the end.
