Hoar rode a bad race on Pure Dale, had the path in the first quarter, but pulled out in deep going when rounding the far turn. War Cry was in the middle of the-track all the way. His mount was in the heavy going next to the inside rail all of tho last half, was easily the best and, with a good ride, would havo won.
