BOOKMAKERS RULED OFF. New Ohleans, La., Dec. 17. Tho stewards of tl local club today rendered the following report ar rulings: "After a thorough investigation of tl methods of the firm of Stitzel and Grefer, who ha been doing a business of bookmaking under tl title of The Iowa Club, we suggest that said T Htitzel and F. J. Grefer be ruled off the turf. "We further suggest that the suipansion of Ha field and Ownbey and of jockey W. Hicks be coi tinned, and that ponding the completion of tl investigation Ed. Gaines known anda Bob and I Cash, valets for jockey W. Hicks, bo denied a privileges."
