All but left he made up ground quickly while going down the backstretch, but was cut of while rounding the far turn. Shaw found an opening at the head of the stretch and sending his mount through along the rail, came away in the final eighth and won with plenty to spare. Flop ran a good raco and caught Brandy Smash in the final stride. Tho latter, favored by a flying start, showed early speed, but could not withstand the winners bid.
