Hiram Johnson was off well in motion, showed much early speed, raced Thane to defeat in the first half and had something in reserve at the end. Major Tenny beiran olowly and bumped into John Potter at the start, closed a big gap, came around his field at the far turn and finished fast. Lemoyna also began slowly and Redfern kept, him on the outside all the way. Ho outgamed John Potter when it came to a drive, The latter was off all tangled up. Thane quit as if short. -i?v. Agnes Mack and Harry bumped each other repeatedly in the stretch run, the former staying best. Harry came wide into the homestretch and was under a hard drive all of tue last quarter.
