Title swung wide when entering the stretch, losing ground, bnt finished strongly. Jolorau in improved form and will bear watching. The others were never serious contenders. Belle Barnard got off well in motion, wore down Frank Kesinger while going to the final eighth and, coming away fast, won with something to spare. Frank Kesinger ran a fair race, but quit when the pinch came. The Phantom flni-hed fast. Dr. Carr quit early. Scratched 6873 Pearl Mendul, 100. Overweights Floria, 4 pounds. Maria Bolton was pinched off along the rail at the first turn and was compelled to pull up. Mountiin took her around the field whiln going down the backstretcbk made up ground around the turns and finished fast. Ravensbury propped somewhat and could getjft the front at no stage of the raca. II. closed up fast from a poor beginning and was right there with the leaders at the finish. Starter showed early speed, but tired from trying to keep up with the leaders.
