Showman was off well in motion, raced Uranium to subjection in the. first half and outgamed Royal Deceiver when it came to a drive. Royal Deceiver saved ground at tho turn into tho homestretch.-but-tirpd under a drive and may have been a bit short. Memphian, on the outside all the way, covered a lot more ground than the winner. Mauser closed a big-gap. Uranium showed early speed, was off well and had no mishaps but was simply not good enough. Overweights Doc Wood, 11 pounds. Snowman, show, 4 io "I. Hazel H. showed early speed, was lucky at the start in trotting off in the front rank" and oscaping interference, raced Brown Vail to exhaustion in tho first half, but was tiring at the end and driving to the limit to stall off Fourloaf C. The latter finished very fast and would have won in another stride. She got in a jam at the start and her rider had to pull up. Floyd K. saved ground at the turn into the homestretch and finished fast. Immortelle showed speed, but tired when the pinch came. Potente tired iu the lust sixteenth. Brief displayed a keen turn of speed, but tired after going a half mile. Bohul was never a contender. Overweights Brief, 2 pounds. Athlana wason the outside and in close quarters for the first three-eighths, came to the extremo ontside at the turn into the homestretch, finished fast under a drive and got up in the last stride. Henry McDaniel was used up in racing Star and Garter in the first half and tired when strongly called on. Tioga saved ground at the turn into the homestretch and appeared like the winner at the furlong post, but tired under pressure. King Barlev-corn was carried wide at the first turn and had to go around his field to get up. bnt caught The Messenger tiring in the stretcli run and outsramed him in a sharp drive. The Messenger showed the most early speed, but was made too much use of and tired when challenged. Cogswell came wide into the homestretch and was under a hard drive all of the last quarter. Flaneur ran out at the turn into the homestretch and was eased up when beaten. Sarilla ran poorly and can do better. The same applies to Compass. Scratched 31041 Silver Coin, 109.
