Golden Cottage, lucky at the start and well ridden, indulged the pacemakers to tho stretch, where he went to the front without great urging. Nellie Forest, nearly left, closed a tremandous gap and finished fast. San Lution forced the paco in the early stages and held on unaspeciedly well. Sea Lion, away very badly, made up ten lengths. Estado was crowded back at tho start and ran a good racs. Cherries seemingly disliked the going. Grand Sachem ran as if short. Kathorine Ennis showed a lot of early spaed, but tired fast in the last furlong. Scratched S6968 Jack Richelieu, Jr., 111. Ovorweights San Lation, 2 ponnds. Golden Cottage, show, 1 to 2. The Major forced the pace throughout, decisively drawing clear in the last furlonar and was easing up at tho end. Ho was much the best. Warte Nicht, away badly, followed the winners pace closely and was a sharp contender for six furlongs, but tired at tho and. Oro Viva closed up a gap from a poor start and outstayed the others. Action was in difficulties early and failed to stay. Clausus evidently disliked the going. Ovorweights Action, 1 pound. The Major, show, 1 to 6. Warte Nicht, show, 1 to 4. Oro Viva, show, 4 to 5. Slave, away well in bis stride, lad unattended throughout and was much tbe best and can possibly beat good ones. Bine Miracle liked the going and finished fast. Gyros ran in improved form and was prominent to. the stretch, where ho tired. Philaernns. away badly, mado up much ground and will probably do better on a good track. Kenilworth forced the pace throughout and his present splendid condition enabled him to draw away at the end. Byron Rose was outrun to the stretch, closed up fast thereafter and was a lucky second. Old England raced with the winner for five furlongs and ran a roat raci after a long let up. He was inadequately handled and evidently not keyed up for a bruising race, at that, ho was easily second best, and should reverse the running when they met t again at these weights. ? f7 Q f if FIFTH RACE 1 Mile and 50 Yards. Urchin, lucky, with clear sailing and a vigorous ride, was always prominent and gamely wore Sleeping Child down at the end. The latter is a rank in-and-outer and made the running almost throughout and put up an extra game effort during the long stretch drive. Mr, Dingle was tiring at the end and seemingly favors sloppy going. Idogo had a rough trip and was badly ridden. Silver Fizz finished fast. Evander ran poorly and is evidently a non-stayer. He was interfered with slightly at the start, but not enough to hurt his chances of winning. Overweights Sleeping Child, 2 pounds. - Urchin, show, 1 to 3. Sleeping Child, show, 8 to 5.
