Deponan was best and under a good ride won with plenty to spare. Percy R. ran well and finished gamely. Miss Blarney, off well in motion; ran a good race and should have been second, but McCann outrode ONeal at the finish. Battus can do better. The others were always outrun. Brother Fred was best, but was interfered with when turning into the stretch and again below the eighth post by the winner, throwing him off his stride. Patton on Brother Fred made a claim of foul, but it was not allowed. Waterton closed up strongly in the stretch run. Lathrop was turned -the wrong way of the track when the barrier shot up.
