Bud Embry was off well in motion, raced Sir Kingston to subjection in the first half, moved up and took command while rounding the far turn and came away easily in the stretch run. Marion Lynch came wide at the turn into the homestretch and hung on gamely under a drive. Wissendine closed a big gap and outgamed Dandie Belle in the final drive. The distance was a bit farther than the latter cared to go. Sir Kingston had no mishaps. He was outfooted for the first half but Fuller saved ground at the turn into the homestretch, struck a hard strip of going in the stretch and finished fast, caught The Boston tiring and got up in the last few strides. The Boston showed the most early speed and ran a good race. She needed this race and will be hard to beat from now on. The Caxton was off all tangled up but closed a big gap, finished fast and outgamed Moranda when it came to a drive. The latter ran in improved form. Miss Aubrey is unreliable. Spec held his field safe at all stages, raced Henry McDaniel to defeat in the first quarter, took the lead while rounding the far turn, was never in trouble afterwards and was going away at the end. The weight anchored Henry McDaniel and he was under a hard drive all of the last quarter. Glennevis was deficient in speed and ran a poor race. He can do better. The others were outclassed. Davisson got him off in his stride and kept him on the out-sk in the good going all the way. He made all his own pace and had enough in reserve at the end to stall off a challenge from Telamon. The latter was in a tight place next to the outside rail on the backstretch but came fast at the end and should have won. Fuller claimed a foul but it was not allowed. Albert F. Dewey closed a big gap while rounding the far turn but tired when it came to a hard drive. Kaloma was outclassed. Overweights Kaloma, 2 pounds. Peat showed the most speed in the early stages but found the trip too long and tired when it came to a hard drive. Moroni beat the barrier and got off running with a lengths advantage, raced Star and Garter to exhaustion in the first half, took the lead and held it to the end outgaming Meran in a. hot drive. The latter began slowly and made up a lot of ground but tired when strongly called on. Ruby Ray ran the best race of the three, finished in the lumpy going and would have won with a good ride. Great Star was made too much use of in getting to the leaders ana tired badly. Scratched 37171 Macon. 104; 37387 Azua, 102. Overweights Great Star, 3 pounds. Moroni, show, 1 to 2. Meran, show, out. Ruby Ray, show, 4 to 1.
