James F. secured a lucky start and waited on the pacemaker to the stretch where he quickly ran away from him. Figardon was crowded back at the start and went the longest way but finished like a flash under bad handling and may have been best. Bee Rosewater went well throughout. Tortulla closed up well at the end. Creedmoor displayed superior speed early but failed to stay. Gyros fell back after going a good half and ran like a quitter. Won handily; second the same Nellie Forest waited on the pacemakers to the stretch where she forged to the front next to the rail easily, but was mildly driven to beat Elfonse at the end. The latter was col lided with at the start and nearly left, but closed a tremendous gap and must have been much the best today. Oriania worked a rough journey and was going fast at the finish and has worked fast trials. Pat Morrissey is in improved form. Quadra tired in the stretch drive and pulled up lame. Sailor is very moderate. Tyranus ran badly. Alms Giver was bumped out of it at the start and only cantered the journey. Overweights Tyranus, 1 pound. Nellie Forest, show, evens. Galanthus received an incompetent ride and came through at the end like a flash after being pocketed for the greater part of the journey. Urchin tired badly in the last quarter. Matin Bell failed to stay after going a fast seven furlongs. Donami showed speed and quit in the last quarter. Scratched 37465 Ethylene, 108. Expedient, show 2 to 5. Galanthus, show, 4 to 5.. Duke of York went into the lead early and forced the pace throughout under a skillful, vigorous ride and scored a lucky victory. Mike Rice, under a pull, waited on Duke of York to the stretch where he appeared like the winner but lost his advantage by dwelling at the stretch hurdle. Corrillo ran in surprisingly improved form and seemed dangerous when a. quarter out but tired in the run home. Dagmar ran a bad race. The others are very bad fencers. Scratched 36970Loyal S., 134. Princess Titania secured a lucky start and being restrained under a choking pull she indulged Sad Sam with the lead to the stretch turn where she flashed to the front without urging and easily retained her advantage to the finish. Byron Rose finished very fast throughout the last quarter. Stuyve ran an unexpected good race on a dry track. Honiton ran as if short and can do better. Kenilworth got away poorly, could never get up and was easing up at the end. Sad Sam quit after going a fast half and can do better. Corrected weights Princess Titania, 108. Bucolic was interfered with at the half but easily drew away from the others in the last quarter. Azarine finished well and is improving. Bernota had no mishaps and is a strictly mudlark.
