DONE AT NEWPORT. The outlaw meeting at Newport came to an end yesterday. Of its demise and future expectations, the Enquirer of yesterday, said: "The announcement will be made at Newport this afternoon that after the card today is raced off, the track will be closed for two weeks, to be reopened on February 28, under a new management, "J. J. Rjan came here yesterday from St. Louis and had a meeting with Frank Fowler, Roy Offutt and Clem Creveling in the Gibson House. After this meeting it was stated that Offutt, on February 28, would assume the management of tho track, that Fowler would after tomorrow become the manager of the Tuxedo poolroom and that Creveling would resume the position of presiding judge."
