AUBURN AND MIDWAY ESTKIES. Washington Parks two stakes for three-year-olds and upward that are not handicaps are the Anburn Stakes and Midway Stakes, both of which are run under soiling conditions. Both have filled exceedingly well this year with horses good enough to race over any track in the country, many belonging legitimately to the recogniz3d handicap division. Both afford owners an opportunity to handicap their own horses, and it is easy to foresee that each is bound to result in a thrilling race. The conditions and entries are as follows: The Auburn Stakes. A selling sweepstakes for three-year-olds and upward; 0 to accompany the nomination, 5 additional for naming to start; ,CC0 added, of which 00 to the second and 00 to the third horae. The winner to be sold at aubtion. . Those entered to be sold for ,C00 to carry weight for ago ; for ,000, allowed 5 lbs. ; then 2 lbs for each 00 to ,000; then 1 lb. for each 00 to ,C00. Winners of a stakes this year, after the closing of entrios, and prior to June 7, when carrying weight for age, or more, not to be entered for less than ,000; after June 7, ,000. Starters, with selling prices, to be named through the entry box, at the usual hour of closing, the day prior to the race.
