Manshak was quickest in motion at the start and displayed the most early speed, but was tiring at the end and driving to the limit to stall off Dick Bernard. The latter was as good as left at the post but closed a big gap and finished very fast and would have won with a better rider up, as Haack was little help to him when the pinch came. E. C. Runte showed speed but swerved all over the track when called on strongly. Happy Hooligan tired when it came to the final drive. J. Reiff bolted when the barrier went up. Manshak was run up ,000 and bought by Durnell and Herz. Dick Bernard was claimed for O. G. CONTINUED ON THIRD PAGE. NEW ORLEANS FORM CHART-CONTINUED. Parke for ,045 and resold to S. C.
