Brattain after a long stretch drive. The latter, nearly left, closed a big gap and finished in unexpectedly game fashion. Katherine Ennis and Rose of Hilo both went well. Golden Mineral beat the barrier and led unextended throughout and is evidently another crackerjack. Military Man, away poorly, closed up much ground and finished gamely but was swerving all over- the stretch. Bombardier received a lucky start and displayed improved speed and stamina. Lady Laurie and Floriana Bell were close up when a furlong out. Liberia broke and ran green, has worked phenomenal trials and appears like a good one. Corrected w-eights Lady Laurie, 111. Tommy Knight wrorked a rough journey and was very badly handled, but finished fast. Dupont made a slow beginning, got away badly and was repeatedly interfered with but tired right at the end. Antolee was skillfully waited with early and when with clear sailing came fast through the last quarter and won a lucky race. Autolight was given a slovenly ride, fell out of the race on the first turn and was waited with a long time before making his move, but finished out the last quarter like a whirlwind and was probably best. Jim Hale showed the most early speed but tired at the end. Dunblane favors mud and fails to stay on a hard track. Divina ran a gad race, but was lame in her preliminary. Sleeping Child had no chance with an incapable jockey. Antolee, show, 7 to 10. Autolight, show, 1 to 3. Jim Hale, show, 3 to 5. Divina, show, 1 to 2. rZKQI FIFTH RACE 1 Mile and 100 Yards.
